Dr. St Jean is a graduate of George Washington University (1992) and Southern College of Optometry (1997). She completed a post-doctorate residency in ocular disease at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salisbury, NC in 1998. After Residency, she practiced in Mt. Olive, NC for two years. In 2000, Dr. St Jean became managing owner of Advanced EyeCare in South Charleston, WV. She holds advanced certification in management and treatment of ocular diseases, and advanced training in co-management of refractive surgery.
In addition to her practice, she is a Past President of the Board of the West Virginia Association of Optometric Physicians, and assisted in legislative efforts to expand West Virginia’s scope of practice. She is a member of the American Optometric Association. She is also a third party chair of WVAOP. She is a member of the South Charleston Lions Club where she provides free exams to low income patients. Dr. St Jean also serves on the board of HYCAT, a competitive age group swim program in Charleston, WV. Dr. St Jean is also a member of the Alumni Council at SCO, and an alumni mentor to scholarship athletes at George Washington University.
In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, swimming, and shuttling her kids around to various activities. She lives in Charleston, WV with her husband, three children, and three dogs.
